Annual Yeats Lecture – 8 Oct

The Ambassador of Ireland Daniel Mulhall hosts the second Annual Yeats Lecture at the Embassy of Ireland with the Irish Literary Society. The event forms part of the Embassy’s Yeats 2015 programme, a year-long national and international celebration of the life and work of W.B. Yeats.
His Excellency Ambassador Dan Mulhall will introduce Professor John Kelly, this year’s guest speaker. Professor Kelly is Emeritus Research Fellow in English at St. John’s College, Oxford. A distinguished Yeats scholar, Professor Kelly has published widely and is the General Editor of The Collected Letters of W.B. Yeats. He is interested in the fiction and modern poetry of the 19th and 20th centuries especially Yeats and Elliot. The Yeats lecture is an extra event to our annual programme of 9 events, as places are limited to 60 we may not be able to accommodate all who wish to attend. The event is by invitation only and will be followed by a drinks reception.
