Funding

The Irish Literary Society actively seeks funding and donations to support its activities.

Corporate Sponsorship:

We are keen to engage with corporate sponsors. Get in touch if you can help us to continue to extend our stimulating programme of debate, readings, screenings and special events to reach a wider audience. Contact the Honorary Secretary for further information: irishlitsoc@gmail.com

Venue Supporter:

The Bloomsbury Hotel has been the main base for the Society’s programme of events since 2014, we have been delighted to continue our relationship with the hotel throughout the last season. The support-in-kind of such a generous partner, the central location of the hotel and assistance of its staff have all played a considerable part in promoting and sustaining the work of the Society.

Grant Support:

Since 2014-15 we have been grateful recipients of funding from the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme (ESP). We appreciate the help of the staff at the Embassy of Ireland here in London in their administering of the grant London and enjoy partnering with the Embassy for events. This funding allowed us to develop our programme to feature the very best Irish writers and academics and to develop ambitious collaborative plans. Such funding helps us to deliver an eclectic mix of events and to attract an ever wider audience with an interest in Irish culture. For the season 2021-22 we received from the ESP £4,300.

Fundraising Regulator:

In subscribing to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice has agreed to undertake its fundraising activities in a way that is legal, honest, open and respectful. This means that you can have confidence in the way that it carries out its fundraising activities. The Fundraising Regulator is the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
